Biography
Joelle “La Muñequita” Flores brings over a decade of boxing experience, passion, and energy to TAG Muay Thai. A proud wife, mother, and Dental Assistant, Joelle is also a professional boxer whose courage in the ring has earned her respect at the highest levels. With 12+ years of boxing experience, she has trained with world champions like Tori Nelson (3x World Champion) and Shakur Stevenson, sharpening her craft with some of the very best.
Originally from El Paso, Texas, Joelle has called Ashburn, Virginia home for more than 10 years. A graduate of Broad Run High School, she balanced her pursuit of Radiology at NOVA Community College while chasing her dream in boxing. Her professional debut took place at the Dulles Sportsplex, and though her record includes one loss, she embraces it as part of the journey that shaped her fighting spirit and resilience.
Beyond competing, Joelle has been teaching boxing for the past 10 years, helping others gain confidence, discipline, and a love for the sport. Her mantra is simple yet powerful: “Don’t forget to have fun‼️”—a reminder that joy and hard work go hand in hand in training.
Outside the gym, Joelle is just as dynamic. She calls herself a “huge nerd” who loves to read, write poetry and short stories, and travel. That creative and adventurous spirit shines through in her coaching, making her not only a skilled instructor but also someone students can truly connect with.
Today, Joelle is excited to join TAG Muay Thai as the newest coach for our Box Like a Mother women’s program every Tuesday and Thursday. The role is even more meaningful because her son also trains in TAG’s kids program, making the gym a true family affair.
With her wealth of experience, vibrant energy, and genuine personality, Joelle is ready to inspire every woman who steps into her class to fight with confidence—both inside and outside the gym.
